22-0904: Jesus is Lord who conquers all fear when we put our faith in Him and focus on His Word. the disciples get caught in a storm when Jesus comes to them walking on the water. They are struck with fear when they see him, thinking it is a ghost. Then Peter asks to walk on water too, if it is really the Lord. So, Jesus tells him to come. When he takes his eyes off Jesus he begins to sink, but Jesus saves him. When they step into the boat the storm calms and the disciples worship Jesus as Lord. This powerful account shows that Jesus is neither threatened nor restrained by the storms of life. He shows up in the chaos so that you will know, confess, and worship Him as Lord. What a strong encouragement to know Jesus’ power. What a potent reminder that we must remain focused on Him in faith.
