22-0911: Jesus revealed Himself as God worthy of all glory that Christ-followers might distinguish their lives for His glory by faith to follow Him. As Matthew closes chapter 14 he summarizes Jesus’ ministry by showing the way Jesus ministered to everyone with awesome power, and everyone who came to Him was satisfied. But Jesus did not reveal Himself only to meet our earthly, physical needs. He came to give eternal life. In this message, Pastor Lane poses the question, “Why was there such a vast difference in how people responded to Jesus?” The answer identifies two groups of people, the crowd and followers. People of the crowd often experienced the same Jesus as all the others, but did so on their terms so they can make Him fit their life, instead of adjusting their life to Him. Finally, three distinct responses of a real Christ-follower are provided by which one can know if their response to Jesus is one of saving faith. We pray this message helps and encourages.
