A Sovereign God and a Mad King (Daniel 4)

24-0310: God is sovereign and worthy of all praise and honor and is able to humble those who walk in pride before Him. Daniel is again summoned by King Nebuchadnezzer to interpret a dream. This time it is a warning from heaven, but he does not heed it. When stricken the king is put out in a very public manner for an extended period of time. Then, after that time, restored. What seems like a hard time in the King’s life turns into a great encouragement for another group, God’s people. God is telling them that He is sovereign, and that He is the one who sets up and tears down earthly kingdoms. In his discipline of King Nebuchadnezzer, He is working for the faith of His people. In this message, Pastor Lane identified four lessons for why one should repent and honor Jesus by faith. We pray this message helps and encourages.
