22-1016: Jesus calls His church to our first love as the power and sustaining strength for all of life and ministry. John addresses the church beginning with the most significant city of Asia Minor, Ephesus, a center of government, business, trade, and religion. In the middle of religious plurality, the church at Ephesus stood strong and faithful to guard against false teachers and teaching. But it came at a cost. Jesus said they abandoned their first love. In this message, Pastor Lane introduces the addresses to the seven churches. Then, in focusing on the call to repent for the church at Ephesus, provides four reminders to turn our hearts away from trusting in our good work to being filled by God’s love.
