22-0814: Christ-followers live by faith through the treasure of God’s eternal wisdom to obey and make Jesus known to all people. Jesus helped the disciples understand why he taught in parables. Then he uses an analogy to emphasize a real Christ-follower’s responsibility to share the treasure of his teachings with others. Matthew uses the Jesus’ teaching to distinguish from what occurred to Jesus in his hometown. He could do no mighty work there because people did not believe.
