23-0409: Jesus wore a crown of thorns to reward all who believe in Him with His crown of victory. Resurrection Sunday is a day that causes Christ-followers to “look back” on all Jesus said (taught) and all that He did, and to consider in light of the resurrection. After one looks back, then we are ready to consider all it means for today, and how to set our focus for eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ is only understood as the light of the empty tomb shines on the cross to provide a right interpretation and application for all of Scripture. In this message, Pastor Lane looks back on the cross to show how the Scripture teaches that Jesus defeated Satan, and that He is the good King who gives the spoils of His victory to His people.
