Gospel Humility: The Mind of Christ Philippians 2:1-11

21-1010: Jesus came down and offered up His life that those who trust in Him might empty life of self to live for God’s glory. Humility, like patience, is one of those qualities that not many people pray or ask to learn it for fear of the lesson that may teach it. Biblical humility is not just a valuable characteristic, but essential for every Christian and the church. The Apostle Paul calls the Philippian church to address their divisions by humbling themselves. Humility was considered in the ancient world as many consider it today, despicable, but Jesus made it a virtue. The only way to live a Jesus-centered life is to learn the glory of humility by the gospel. In this message, Pastor Lane exhorts Christians to learn humility because of five gospel distinctives that glorify God.
