Covenant, part one: God’s Promise Genesis 15:1-6

20-0223: God calls people to believe in Jesus by faith as the promise of His Word. When God comes to Abram in Genesis 15 to renew His covenant with Him, He begins with a promise. Promises are risky because they demand trust. This is especially true when the promise seems larger than life, of which none are larger than God’s promise to Abram. And that is exactly God’s point. God directs Abram to know Him, His character and nature, as the anchor of his trust. And to him God says, “I will do it.” We learn from God’s leading of Abram; impenetrable faith comes only as we immerse, consume and absolve one’s self in the immeasurable glory of God’s unending promise. Pastor Lane offers three questions to settle one’s life in Jesus as God’s promise. We pray this message helps and encourages.
