20-0329: True Christian prayer is sourced from our relationship with God as Father and our identity as His children. When Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray, He begins with our relationship with God as Father. Who we are because of what God has done for us in Jesus Christ is the truth upon which we must build our approach to God. Then when our prayer flows from this new relationship with God out of our new identity, it is imperative that we recognize God with honor and praise we He is worthy.
