16_1016: Jesus reveals God’s glory that we might believe and follow Him. John 2 begins Jesus’ public ministry at a wedding by turning water to wine. Regardless of the fact that a miracle was performed, only a few people were aware of it because most were “inebriated” and missed it. John the author tells us that this was a “sign” with a specific purpose. In this message Pastor Lane identifies three responses to Jesus’ first miracle. God has purposed that His work around us would lead us to believe and fuel the work of Jesus in us. But, we so easily and often miss the true glory of God by distractions of any and every kind in this world.
