Christians cultivate this heart by listening to God and His Word, inclining one’s heart, practicing repentance as an act of faith, and submitting oneself to Jesus’ lordship. Deuteronomy 4:1-40 ultimately points to Jesus in that He is our perfect obedience, through whom the Christian is free to obey in loving relationship with God.
