23-0910: God is worthy of our faith and obedience, and in steadfast love He pursues us with relentless grace to save. Jonah calls out to the Lord and he is saved. But what seems so cut and dry is not. In reading one is left with a lingering sense that not all is right. All that Jonah should have said did not get said, which leads us to ask, “then why did God save him?” Jonah 2 is very interesting to study, but it contains lessons that are not easy for us to learn or accept. And as we study these lessons we begin to see more clearly our own tension, or “hint of protest”, with God. In this message, Pastor Lane offers four lessons that we learn about God from Jonah 2. These lessons help us better understand the whole message. We pray this message helps and encourages.
