22-0410: The hand of God rests on the life centered on the Word of God to serve God’s purpose for His glory. Chapter Seven introduces us to Ezra, the namesake for the book, who led the second wave of exiles back to Jerusalem. Several key characteristics of this man are provided in the chapter. He was a descendent of Aaron the Priest, who became a master scribe of the Law of Moses, and dedicated his whole life to knowing and obeying the Law to teach it to the people. But what transpires in this chapter is far greater than this one man. God used Ezra for a much greater purpose, to center His people on His Word. In this message, Pastor Lane identifies how the text shows us God’s work, and calls people to respond with three distinct characteristics. We pray this message helps and encourages.
