18-0401: Jesus makes every person a fool, that either lives for self-glory or God’s glory. The Bible draws a sharp contrast between the person who lives for self and the one who lives for God’s glory by the term fool and folly. The tension that this contrast creates reveals the very point the Bible makes in the contrast. The kind of fool you are is determined by the gold you hold, the power and wisdom by which you live, and the glory you pursue with your life. In this sermon, Pastor Lane sets forth four characteristics of a worldly fool. Then he gives the one characteristic of the one called “fool” by the world. One’s response to Jesus, by his life, death, and resurrection, reveals their answer to the question “Whose fool are you?” The world around, the sin within, and Satan says to us “Only fools follow Jesus.” Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, & everyone who lives & believes in me shall never die. Do u believe this? Follow me.” When you believe in Jesus, He calls you His Beloved! May this message help and encourage you.
