A Life in Love; learning to live from our new heart.

Pastor Lane shares a devotional interlude to the “LOVE series: a study in the gospel of John”. This message aims to encourage and help Christ-followers to pause and meditate on God’s truth that as Christians we are the beloved of God. Henri Nouwen states, “‘Beloved’ forms the core truth of our existence.” Our aim as the Beloved, he continues, is to “pull the truth revealed to me from above down into the ordinariness of what I am thinking of, talking about and doing from hour to hour.” Living a life in love is so essential that Paul prayed that the Ephesians would continue to grow in every aspect in their understanding of God’s love. When we forget God’s love, we deny the very essence of our identity. When we live a life in love, we live out of the new heart that God has given to us in Christ Jesus. And, by God’s design, loved people love people. May this devotional encourage and help you be stirred to greater and deeper affection for Jesus Christ, and to love others in His name.
