Report: LPC shift to 3 Sun AM worship gatherings

lpc-love-social_blog-header

Thank you, thank you, thank you, LifePoint! To each one of you I say a great big “Thank You”! Sunday’s shift to three morning worship gatherings came off seamlessly. Sure, we’ve identified a few ‘bumps’ but the day flowed so smoothly. And, the unity of LifePoint, your dedication to the Lord and commitment to this whole process made the day a great success. I’m sharing this post so those outside LifePoint can share in our celebration and praise to the Lord. I pray you gain great encouragement and praise unto God from this report.

I want to share some real successes from the day.

First, our total attendance was our largest ever for this season and provided a great launch to our Fall ministry season. Second, overall numerical percentages were historically true for LifePoint, with 68% students and adults (13yo & up) and 32% children (12yo & under). Third, the biggest unknown of the day that held the greatest potential to cause us to “stumble” was the even distribution of people among three services. Service attendance was as follows: 8am=36%; 930am=36%; 11am=28%! There was only an 8% variance of people in the worship room! Praise the Lord! There’s no other practical way to describe this than “perfecto”! And for the fruit we’ve experienced from our labors I simply rejoice, “praise the Lord for the great work He has done among LifePoint!” May we always remember one lingering lesson as we labor diligently to serve in mission, “Unity matters in the church because it demonstrates Jesus’ Lordship in our hearts and among our fellowship.”

Leadership identified some other “Best parts” to celebrate.

New people served in new roles. All people came ready to serve. The overall flow of the morning went smooth. All services were energized by people engaged in worship. There was a good spread of people in every area of ministry throughout the morning. Parking was available for the later services. There was available “space” for people to “be” and “move”. And finally, my favorite and I believe the best compliment of the day, the people of LifePoint had a strong sense of ownership and “buy-in” to make sure everything worked.
I hope and pray we are together this week as we “bask” in God’s glory through this great testimony!
And for those who prayed for us, we “thank you” and hope you share in our celebration! We know your prayers provided strength for us. Please share this report with others. We value your partnership in Kingdom mission.
LPC, you served so well, and God has worked powerfully among us. Let’s go forth and L-O-V-E as we have been so greatly loved! I’ll see you Sunday at 8, 930 or 11!
because of God’s great love,
Pastor Lane

Lane – I am not surprised that Sunday was such a success and a blessing. God always blesses His people when there is unity and love and good planning. I will continue to pray for all of you that you reach many more people with the Gosple and see lives change.
    Love in Christ, JoAnn
