LifePoint, last week you were introduced to Caleb Fritz. I would like you to get to know another 2014 intern, Nathan Shaver.

Nathan began attending LifePoint Church in December of 2013.  He is a Kansan who was raised in the small rural community of Columbus.  At the age of nine he responded to God’s gracious offer in the gospel and trusted in Christ for salvation. During his senior year of High School Nathan sensed the call to vocational ministry. In 1998, after graduation, he began studying Biblical Literature at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. There he majored in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Preaching.  Nathan met his wife Rachelle while traveling together in a singing ensemble for the college. They were married on March 10, 2000 in Rachelle’s hometown, Indianapolis, Indiana. They have been graciously entrusted with four beautiful children: Benjamin (12), Judah (10), Caitlyn Grace (5) and Levi (20 months).

Nathan spent many years on the road as an independent singer-songwriter, ministering to churches, college campuses, and youth conferences across the United States. After recording his fourth record, Nathan answered the call to serve a local congregation on the Westside of Indianapolis. There he served as the minister of Worship until the leaders called and the congregation affirmed him to be the Lead Pastor of Northview Christian Church. It was during this season that Nathan’s calling was clarified and confirmed. After 5 years of pastoral ministry in Indianapolis, Nathan and his family relocated to the Ozarks to train and prepare at Evangel University for a life of Church planting among internationals in an urban context.

It is his deep desire to see the nations reconciled to King Jesus through the preaching of an extraordinary gospel through ordinary disciples. It is with this conviction that Nathan is eager to serve and learn from LifePoint Church as an intern through serving King Jesus and his mission. He primarily assists Tyler Greene and the Worship Ministry with the aim to Glorify God, Magnify the Gospel, and Edify the Church.
